WCFA Operations Manager

Position announcement

The Walker County Fair Association is seeking a self-starting, contract employee to work full time (8-5 most weeks, but some evening and weekend hours during the year, as the need dictates), with duties and responsibilities to include promotion of the Walker County Fair and Rodeo by providing administrative oversight of facility rentals and facility upkeep, assisting the treasurer with budgeting and bookkeeping, solicitation of sponsorships and communication with donors, organization of volunteers, website maintenance and marketing efforts, employment of social media to promote WCFA events, and managing other public relations activities as needed.The Operations Manager would report directly to the President and WCFA officers and would be expected to attend monthly officer and board meetings, providing monthly reports when asked.

Some travel(compensated) is expected.The incumbent must be personable, reliable, and honest, promoting a positive image of the Fair Association.Must possess excellent communication and computer skills and must pass background and drug tests.
