Our 37th Year
Daytime Events

The Tuesday morning preceding the Fair & Rodeo, area school students are bused in for a sneak preview of the rodeo. Put on by the Rodeo Committee, the mini-rodeo features bull riding, team roping, calf roping, and barrel racing. The kids hear explanations of how the events really happen and practice giving support to the cowboys and cowgirls.

Monday morning during the week of the fair, senior citizens are invited for a day of entertainment, bingo and lunch. Hosted by The Junior Service League of Huntsville and the Special Events Committee, the event is fun for many from the county. Special thanks to McKenzie's BBQ for providing lunch for them.

Tuesday (for PRE-K) and Wednesday (for KINDERGARTEN) morning during the week of the fair various Pre-K and K public and private schools bring kids for a day of fun at the fairgrounds. Activities include special entertainment, fire truck rides, hay rides, tours of livestock animals, petting zoo, coloring center, Elsie and Buttercup from Borden, and sometimes a couple of rodeo activities.
